It is essential therefore that the Houchin product is supported by an after sales service which reflects the same level of quality. After sales support is provided by a dedicated team located at the manufacturing facility in Ashford, Kent, UK where technical and administrative personnel combine to offer the total support package.

Our Service Engineers travel world-wide and are available to provide a variety of support activities. Warranty back-up benefits from their flexibility, expertise and hands-on experience. They are available to offer on site commissioning of new equipment thus giving the user the added confidence of local first-hand operational guidance where required. Unserviceable Parts
Despite some suppliers’ claims parts do become unserviceable. It is important therefore to return the equipment to service as quickly as possible. To facilitate the replacement of unserviceable parts, as an alternative to new supply or repair, the company operates a Service Exchange scheme for selected items. These include alternators and PCB assemblies many of which are available from stock for immediate delivery at a discounted price. Parts Supply

A large, comprehensive stock of parts is held at the Ashford facility thus ensuring ‘ex stock’ availability of many items. Particular attention is paid to the supply of parts to support the current range of equipment where competitive pricing and immediate despatch are key features. | |
As an OEM Houchin has the advantage of utilising its full range of stocked parts, including work in progress, to ensure maximum flexibility in the allocation of parts. Stock is also held at remote locations to further enhance the service by reducing transit times and consequently equipment downtime. |

| Every effort is made to ensure prompt response times, whether it be to requests for quotations or technical information, orders or deliveries. Suppliers and carriers are carefully selected to ensure that they support the company’s desire to provide prompt and accurate information, and to deliver goods on time. | ||

Repairs |

A repair facility is available at the Ashford factory to accommodate a wide range of equipment. Repaired PC assemblies are held in stock to support current equipment. In addition a ‘fast-track’ repair route is also available for non stocked items. Alternators are the ‘heart’ of the Houchin ground power unit and require specialist knowledge to ensure the complete reliability of all repairs which are fully supported by the Houchin warranty. |
Training
A range of keenly priced training programmes is available to suit most requirements and can be carried out in the company’s own training facility or on customer site. Courses can be arranged to provide basic fault finding and familiarisation, or a more comprehensive understanding of the equipment. A complete training package, with the provision of training aids, can be offered to accommodate up to 8 students at any one time. Certificates are awarded to each student upon completion of training.
